It is an honor to write in support of the inspirational and motivational abilities of Mr. Aron Lofton. In my years as a psychiatrist, I have become a quick and accurate judge of character. The first time I met Aron, threecharacter strengths were readily apparent: humility, authenticity, and discipline. In getting to know Mr. Lofton over the past few years, his consistency with these strengths has moved him from friendly acquaintance to trusted friend to valued mentor.
Over time I have come to learn of Mr. Lofton’s successes in business, interpersonal relationships and in mixed martial arts; however, when I first met the man, I had no idea of these accomplishments. Recognizing me in the gym from a business flyer I had up at a local café, Aron approached me with polite, supportive conversation. I could tell right away that he was not a patient looking for help, but someone that I could learn something from. We scheduled a time to meet and talk about life and business. Without speaking overtly of his successes, I could tell by how he listened and provided quick and sound business advice that he was a man of considerable business experience and success. His humility is something to be admired and emulated.
In addition to his humility, one thing that becomes quickly evident when speaking with Aron is his authenticity. Speaking as a psychiatrist, it has been my experience that, men typically have a more difficult time with expressing authenticity. Not with Aron. Each time that I meet with him, regardless of the area of life we are discussing (business, fitness, relationships), he listens intently, and, if needed, readily shares how he has overcome a similar struggle. In world full of social masks and personas, this level of authenticity is incredibly rare.
Coupled with his humility and authenticity is Mr. Lofton’s striking sense of discipline. From his physique, one can quickly tell that he has physical discipline. After just one heartfelt conversation with Aron, a person understands that this outwardly apparent level of discipline is an extension of his inner mental and emotional discipline. Whether I received advice on how to do well in Jiu Jitsu, how to increase my business metrics or how to navigate interpersonal relationships, Aron always stresses the importance of keeping a clear mind and a calm heart.
I count myself very fortunate to have met and have gotten to know Mr. Aron Lofton. As one who specializes in helping people find hope amidst their struggles, I gladly and wholeheartedly recommend Mr. Lofton for his ability to motivate and inspire those he interacts with. With his unique combination of humility, authenticity and discipline, Aron brings a calming presence and an inspiring message that is much needed by today’s young adults.
Sincerely,
Michael Watkins, MD
